Un kilo de camarón seco se mete en una bolsa de manta, dándole una forma esférica con la ayuda de piola, hasta quedar una esfera compacta; se cubre con cogolló de palma con el objetivo de evitar la filtración de la humedad hacia el camarón; enseguida se procede al tejido artístico de la piola, el cual ayuda a que una vez concluida la barcina pueda manejarse fácilmente. Otras piezas emblemáticas son las tejidas con lirio acuático y mangle. A orilla de la calle circular se miran floreros, lámparas, faroles, tortilleros, abanicos, bolsas y sombreros.
